The University of Nebraska Board of Regents will meet on Friday, Dec. 1, at Varner Hall, 3835 Holdrege St. in Lincoln. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. The meeting is open to the public and will also be live-streamed at www.nebraska.edu.
The Board will consider a resolution in honor of outgoing President Ted Carter, who is stepping down Dec. 31 to become president of Ohio State University. Carter will also update the Board on progress on the “Five-Point Plan” to reimagine the university that he unveiled this summer.
The Board will consider the appointment of Chris Kabourek, the University of Nebraska’s senior vice president and chief financial officer, as interim president effective Jan. 1, 2024.

- A contract for construction management services with Kiewit Building Group Inc. for Memorial Stadium renovations. (Addendum XI-B-2)
- A ground lease for proposed USDA-ARS facilities to be located at Nebraska Innovation Campus. (Addendum XI-B-5)
- Plans for an infectious diseases air transport training facility at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. (Addendum XI-B-6)
- Acceptance of a gift from the Nebraska Philanthropic Trust for an extension facility at Baxter Arena at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. (Addendum XI-B-7)
