Highlighted Priority Projects

    UNK/UNMC: Nebraska Rural Health Education Building

    Proven by the fact that 85% of graduates in the existing UNK/UNMC Health Science Education Complex have started careers in rural Nebraska, this second facility will position UNK to answer Nebraska’s call in growing the health care pipeline.

    UNL: College of Engineering and School of Computing

    UNL aims to address the state’s severe shortage of engineers and computer scientists by investing in Kiewit Hall and creating a dedicated home for the School of Computing. It also aims to establish Kiewit Scholars, a full-tuition scholarship and cohort for exceptional engineering students.

    UNMC: Centers of Excellence

    Transformative Research, Discovery and Innovation Centers of Excellence will build on UNMC’s strengths in cancer, immunotherapies, neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular disease, women’s health research, chronic care management, cancer prevention, health equity and other areas of importance to Nebraskans.

    UNO: STEM Education

    UNO is committed to its role as a key educator of Nebraska’s future STEM workforce. By investing in a state-of-the-art renovation of Allwine Hall, UNO’s oldest building, and a vital expansion of the Peter Kiewit Institute, UNO will provide a cutting-edge home for biology and life sciences as well as collaborative space and peer support for information technology and engineering students.
