Gale Warren is the interior designer for the University of Nebraska and manages all interior design needs across UNO, UNL, and UNK. She focuses on developing functional, cost-effective and aesthetically pleasing interior environments.
Gale has decades of experience in the design and textile industry. Prior to joining the University in 2016, she designed clothing on 7th Avenue in New York City and owned an interior design firm in Los Angeles centered on residential and commercial design. She is passionate about creating comfortable, functional and beautiful spaces that improve human interactions and experiences; she is a practicing artist as well as an interior designer. She serves on both the University's Aesthetic Review Committee and their 1% For Art Selection Committee, in concert with the Nebraska Arts Council, on qualifying projects.
Gale received her B.S. in Fashion Design and Textile Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and also attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, an internationally-recognized college for fashion, interior design, art, and communications. Gale lives in Lincoln, Nebraska and has three grown children: Isabel, Haven and Olivia.
