The 4-Year A/E Program awards an approved list of professional architects and engineers for consideration of performing various types of planning, programming, design, and engineering services on University locations. This program is used by the University's Facilities, Planning and Capital Programs (FP&CP) unit as well as other authorized University entities.
The 4-Year A/E program's current four- year period begins May 1, 2022, and ends April 30, 2026. During this period, as individual projects need professional A/E services at the University, approved A/E professionals from the 4-Year A/E Program list are contacted to provide a professional fee proposal for consideration of the project scope described. With the current program ending May 1, 2026, public Request for Qualifications is anticipated in December 2025. Interested professional architects and engineers must register, if not done so already, with the University's e-Bid system at . Interested professionals must use the University's e-Bid system to respond to the public Request for Qualifications, #0000000 for the 2026-2030 4-Year A/E program. No paper SOQ’s will be accepted. The University is seeking professional architects and engineers for 2026-2030 concerning the following project types.
GENERAL PURPOSE PROJECTS: predominately architectural in nature and may also include structural, civil (onsite and offsite), mechanical, electrical, plumbing, environmental, landscape, landscape irrigation, geotechnical analysis, signage/graphics, cost estimating, acoustical, audio/visual, telecommunications systems (data and phone), security systems, and interiors.
MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL PROJECTS: predominately mechanical and electrical in nature and may also include associated architectural, structural, civil (onsite and offsite), plumbing, environmental, landscape, landscape irrigation, geotechnical analysis, signage/graphics, cost estimating, acoustical, audio/visual, telecommunications systems (data and phone), security systems, and interiors.
RESEARCH SPECIALY PROJECTS: requires a research specialty and may also include architectural, structural, civil (onsite and offsite), mechanical, electrical, plumbing, environmental, landscape, landscape irrigation, geotechnical analysis, signage/graphics, cost estimating, acoustical, audio/visual, telecommunications systems (data and phone), security systems, clean rooms, wet and dry labs and interiors.
CIVIL ENGINEERING PROJECTS: predominately civil (onsite and offsite) in nature and may also include mechanical, electrical, plumbing, environmental, landscape, landscape irrigation, geotechnical analysis, signage/graphics, cost estimating, telecommunications systems (data and phone), and security systems.
AUDIO/VISUAL PROJECTS: predominately audio/visual in nature and may also include structural, civil (onsite and offsite), mechanical, electrical, plumbing, signage/graphics, cost estimating, acoustical, telecommunications systems (data and phone), security systems.
COMMISSIONING PROJECTS: predominately commissioning in nature and may also include architecture, structural, civil (onsite and offsite), mechanical, electrical, plumbing, acoustical, audio/visual, telecommunications systems (data and phone), security systems, and interiors.
LANDSCAPE PROJECTS: predominately landscape in nature and may also include structural, civil (onsite and offsite), mechanical, electrical, plumbing, environmental, landscape irrigation, geotechnical analysis, signage/graphics, cost estimating, acoustical, audio/visual, telecommunications systems (data and phone), security systems.
MEDICAL/HEALTH SCIENCES: requires a medical/health expertise and may also include architecture, structural, civil (onsite and offsite), mechanical, electrical, plumbing, environmental, landscape, landscape irrigation, geotechnical analysis, signage/graphics, cost estimating, acoustical, audio/visual, telecommunications systems (data and phone), security systems, wet and dry labs, and interiors.
