Flower Darby, an educator and author, presented "Small Teaching Online: Fostering Connections to Improve Student Engagement and Learning" at first Campus Conversations event co-hosted by NU Online and the UNL Center for Transformative Teaching. The event took place November 22, 2019.
Attendees learned how small teaching can help faculty and students address the unique challenges of online learning. Small teaching involves minor changes or adjustments that result in significant learning gains. In addition, they focused on how educators can make a major impact in the student’s learning and engagement by implementing strategies based on neuroscience.
