NU Faculty, Staff and Students,
The University of Nebraska has worked hand-in-hand with universities and governments around the world for decades. These international collaborations attract nearly 4500 international students who study at the university—and help prepare our students to live and work in an increasingly interconnected world.
NU has numerous opportunities to help develop the workforce of tomorrow and grow the state’s economy. We help both U.S. citizens and international students develop 21st century skills. I’m particularly proud of the thousands of students who engage the world while attending the University of Nebraska—through studying abroad, studying a foreign language, assisting international students, enrolling in courses with global content, and participating in on-campus global activities.
“The global perspectives developed by students at the University of Nebraska enrich their lives and benefit their work for years to come.”
I’m also proud of University of Nebraska faculty and staff who, through their teaching, research, service, and creative activities, help our students develop the knowledge, skills and insights needed to be effective in the world today. University of Nebraska employees play an important role in key areas such as:
- Supporting and teaching international students
- Facilitating study abroad programs
- Contributing to research with a global impact
- Leading on-campus global activities
- Contributing to strong international partnerships
I am pleased to share a new report that details the University’s global engagement successes. The report is available online.
Thank you for all you do to strengthen and advance the University of Nebraska.
