Statement of University of Nebraska President Ted Carter on Women’s History Month:

"This month we celebrate the countless ways in which women have contributed to the rich history, growth and success of the University of Nebraska, our communities and the nation. Too often their stories have not been equitably shared or celebrated. Women faculty, staff and students have played a vital role throughout our university's 152-year history, contributing enormously to the education of future leaders, scientific breakthroughs, cultural advancements and community service that define our work. I am proud to join colleagues across the NU system in lifting up women's achievements, while recognizing that we must all commit to the work necessary to creating an even more equitable and inclusive community for all."
