Collaboration Initiative Single-Year Seed Grant@headingTag>
The University is offering single-year seed grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 to support research collaborations in the following categories:
- Agriculture
- Basic Physical Sciences
- Educational Sciences
- Human/Animal Health
- Human Performance/Biometrics
- Humanities/Creative Activities
- National/Homeland Security
These grants aim to foster new and existing research collaborations across two or more Nebraska campuses* that focus on:
- Generating preliminary data critical for federally funded research grant proposals or resubmissions.
- Developing capabilities that enable the University of Nebraska's National Strategic Research Institute (NSRI) to secure contract funding from its sponsor (U.S. Strategic Command), other Department of Defense entities, or other federal agencies.
*For NSRI priority-topic projects, collaboration with a NSRI content expert is encouraged. Collaborating with such an expert and a PI/Co-PI from a single campus meets the collaboration requirement. Alternatively, PI/Co-PIs from multiple campuses without an NSRI expert also fulfill the requirement.
