The Board of Regents is pleased to present a KUDOS award to Meagan Counley, Title IX Coordinator in the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Meagan has served in the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance since 2016. In her role as UNL’s Title IX Coordinator, she ensures compliance with the federal anti-discrimination law which applies to public universities like ours. Every day she and her co-workers support faculty, students, and staff to ensure they know that UNL is dedicated to the prevention of sexual misconduct.
Meagan works tirelessly to administer complaints and investigations and to create a safe learning and working environment on campus. She’s skilled at developing and applying university policies related to Title IX and leads a team committed to ensuring that UNL complies with this federal requirement.
Her job is often a thankless one; however, she makes a real difference in the lives of every member of the community she serves. She truly demonstrates the belief at UNL that every person and every interaction matters. Her commitment to the university is inspiring.
Joining Meagan today are her wife and 6-year-old daughter Alissa and Kevlyn Counley and co-workers Marc Pearce, Jody Wood, Leslie Shaver, Deanna Schuldeis, Rob Dohe and Emily Nealeigh.
Please join me in thanking Meagan Counley for her dedication to the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
