On behalf of the Board of Regents, I am pleased to present a KUDOS Award to John Ingraham, a veteran of the UNMC Public Safety Office. For 45 years, John has been instrumental in helping UNMC be a campus focused on safety at all levels.
John is “that exemplary employee that you need on the job every day,” one nominator said. “We need 10 more just like him.”
John’s input is highly valued, and colleagues say he is committed to campus safety, customer service and helping advance processes. Said another nominator: “He truly is someone who exemplifies our commitment and work toward being extraordinary.”
Lauded for his honesty, institutional knowledge and reliability, John is a great mentor who sets a strong example for staff by exhibiting bravery, resilience, and the ability to diffuse tense and stressful situations. He serves on multiple committees that guide and drive safety efforts across both UNMC and Nebraska Medicine, and is widely known for his kindness, generosity, and helpful spirit.
Today, he is joined by his wife, Teresa, co-workers Ryan Smith and Police Sgt. Stephen Venteicher and Associate Vice Chancellor of Public Safety and Chief of Police Charlotte Evans.
Join me in thanking John for his vast contributions, optimism and exceptional commitment to the safety and security of the entire UNMC and Nebraska Medicine community.
