On behalf of the Board of Regents, I am pleased to present a KUDOS Award to Tyler Pierce-Panowicz, Workstation Support Associate at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Tyler's dedication to UNK ITS began in 2018 as a student employee, leading to full-time work in July 2019. He then graduated in May 2022, in Information Networking and Telecommunications.
Beyond his technical skills, Tyler demonstrates exceptional leadership qualities. As Staff Senate President this year, his collaborative spirit will shine through.
Tyler’s contributions to projects are many. He volunteered on the ‘Women in IT’ conference planning team, facilitated the Team Dynamix Knowledge Base implementation, and currently spearheads the university-wide Windows 11 upgrade. He revamped student worker training by combining online modules with hands-on experience, streamlining onboarding and improving efficiency.
He completed the ITS Leadership Academy and Advanced Endpoint Management Training and was recognized with the "Most Growth" award. In August 2023, he received the coveted UNK Employee Achievement Award.
Andrea Childress, Assistant Vice President of ITS commends Tyler, “I’ve received numerous complements about Tyler and his great attitude, customer service skill, and breadth of knowledge. He is an outstanding employee who regularly goes above and beyond to help everyone.”
Congratulations to Tyler Pierce-Panowicz, your knowledge, leadership and commitment are truly making an incredible difference. With Tyler are his husband, Nate Panowicz and his mother, Tami Pierce.
