Our office assists in finding storage space for your department to use that is affordable and efficient. We can also help your department or organization with locating University green space for your projects or events.
If you have a question regarding space use within a University facility, please contact the Space Management team. If you have a question regarding University campus planning, please contact the campus planning team at your individual campus.
Purchase and Sale
Our group begins, facilitates, and keeps records of all purchase, sale, or other transfer of ownership of real property on behalf of the University.
The Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska owns and manages real property over the expanse of the State of Nebraska, including its educational campuses, but also: agricultural land, office buildings, research fields, residential housing, and other types of real property. The purchase or transfer of University property must be done according to Board of Regents policy.
Our office will communicate with all interested parties to facilitate a real property transaction. If the University decides to act upon an interest in real property, the Real Estate group will guide the purchase process, ensuring compliance with State laws, Board of Regents policy, and any other authorities or requisites. Our office approaches each real property transaction to best serve the University’s students and staff as well as its financial and other interests. We will also assist in providing metrics to help University officials determine whether a purchase or sale is in the University’s best interest.
