The Office of the General Counsel takes the lead in representing the University and in managing any litigation or other disputes involving the University. These disputes may include state and federal litigation, arbitration, actions before the NEOC, EEOC, and OCR, and responding to subpoenas. The Office of the General Counsel may also represent University employees in civil matters arising out of matters occurring within the course and scope of his or her duties, employment or training as determined under the Board of Regents Bylaw 6.8.
